Chief Financial Officer

Carmel School is seeking to recruit an outstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the implementation of its strategic plan and to lead the School’s financial operations and activities.

As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO will report to the Principal and have responsibility for the efficiency and effectiveness of the School’s resources and facilities. Rabbi / Jewish Studies Educator

Together with the Perth Jewish Community, we are looking to recruit a dynamic and professional Jewish Studies Educator / Rabbi to join our growing school community.

 

Working in both the areas of formal and informal Jewish Education in a high school setting, as well as the possibility of communal rabbinic and Halachic leadership, the successful applicant will:  

  • Be creative, proactive, organized and detail oriented
  • Have a dynamic and outgoing presence with the ability to speak publicly
  • Have the capacity to motivate students and create an inclusive environment
  • Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues of all departments
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Have experience as a formal and/or informal limudei kodesh educator
  • Be able to teach Gemara to High School students

Working in Carmel School, Bnei Akiva and our Torah Mitzion Beit Midrash, you will thrive in our close-knit, high achieving community.

Your day will consist of learning in chavrutah and chaburot with students and community members, running informal Jewish activities at our thriving Jewish Day School (Carmel School) and being part of our vibrant Bnei Akiva youth movement.

As well as a monthly stipend, all expenses are paid, including flights, accommodation, food, insurance and utilities.  The community will also take care of arranging and paying for your visa.  During the year you will have 4 weeks off to explore a bit of the land of Oz and more time at the end if you don’t need to get straight back to London / SA.

Representatives of the community will be in London on 16 July and Johannesburg on 18 – 21 July to meet with interested candidates.
