We are pleased to advise that The Spotlight Foundation will fund the Ruben Fried Scholarship at Carmel from 2019.

The Ruben Fried Scholarship fund was established by the Fried and Fraid families through the Spotlight Foundation, a charitable trust that specifically empowers women and children in community development and education. This scholarship program is in honour of Ruben Fried who sadly passed away in 2009.

The Spotlight Foundation sets the terms of the Scholarship, which covers tuition fees for six years (Years 7 to 12 inclusive).

 Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently be enrolled in Year 6 in a Government school;
  • Require a full bursary in order to afford a Jewish education (means-tested) at Carmel School;
  • Be halachically Jewish;
  • Be of good character.
