High School Learning Areas - VAPA

Carmel School students are exposed to an enriching spectrum of creative activities throughout their educational lives.

In the High School, the VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) team combines to offer our students opportunities to develop their understanding and their talents in these areas including their creative skills, critical appreciation and knowledge of technologies.

Music, always a feature of Carmel School life, offers students the opportunity to become involved in school choirs, bands and orchestras in addition to individual private tuition and Music as an optional subject.

Dramatic performance skills are nurtured at Carmel School from the earliest years and Carmel School Drama students enjoy frequent theatre visits and drama workshops as well as participating in their own productions.

Art is offered to all students from Years 8 to 12 and Media Studies also offers an exciting and creative option for students, from producing their own music video clips to short movies and digital manipulation of photographs.
