On Friday 9th February two students from the High School, Zack Byala and Samuel Blitz visited the Men Shed in Yokine. The students went there to work on building projects with some of the residents from the Maurice Zeffert Home. When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome from Phil Samuell and his team. The boys worked alongside the Men Shed volunteers to build wooden money boxes for the residents of the Maurice Zeffert. Both Zack and Samuel worked diligently hammering, gluing and screwing nails to create these wonderful money boxes. The boys didn’t stop and they definitely earned themselves tea and biscuits!

This is going to be a regular activity for the boys each Friday morning and we can’t wait to build more fantastic pieces and learn new skills in a positive and encouraging environment. Thank you to Phil and the guys from the Men Shed, we look forward to visiting again soon!
