A contingent of twenty three excited and well prepared swimmers travelled to Wesley College last week to contest the annual IPSHA co-ed swimming carnival. The squad had presented at Terry Tyzack pool early several times a week in the month prior and trained hard under the tutelage of coach Mackin. The supportive group of parents that were on hand at Wesley witnessed some very sharp performances from the team, resulting in over fifty ribbons from the 65 events. A very noteworthy achievement!

Whilst we could mention the nine swimmers by name who won first place ribbons, to me the efforts of the relay teams, winning 3 of their 6 events which demonstrated the depth of the squad, the commitment that the swimmers had shown in their preparation and the exemplary behaviour and sportsmanship displayed on the day were the real highlights.
