On Thursday 22 August a small team of 20 enthusiastic runners competed in the annual IPSHA Cross Country event held at John XXIII College. Having trained regularly around the regular 2km and 2.5km course at Carmel in previous weeks, they were well prepared to contest this event. Most races had 80–100 participants. Whilst we had no runners amongst the top ten finishers this year, all the athletes acquitted themselves superbly and can justifiably be very proud of their efforts.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the parents in attendance for their support of the Carmel team.
