Director of Jewish Learning, K-12

We are looking for a passionate, experienced educational leader with a proven track record in Jewish Studies and Hebrew to join the leadership team of our Modern Orthodox, Zionist, co-educational, Jewish day school in Perth.

This person will be responsible for leading, creating, maintaining and ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional Jewish learning across all year levels.

They will need to be an instructional leader who delivers an effective academic program that is innovative, challenging and meets the needs of all students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Up to date with current educational research trends, pedagogy and curriculum, the Director of Jewish Learning will establish and maintain a culture of best practice teaching and learning within the Jewish Studies team.

As part of the Carmel Leadership Team, they will lead the establishment of clear strategic goals and curriculum policies for the department and liaise with the Heads of School to ensure a quality education program.

The Director will be an active member of staff over both campuses, leveraging opportunities to promote and facilitate the Jewish Learning program. Communicating, attending and participating in events and classroom activities as well as promoting the formal program to all staff and students is an integral part of the role.
