Year 7 Science
Currently, our Year 7 students are learning about the classification of living things. Part of this topic involves comparing animals between the different animal phyla. In particular, the students were quite interested in learning more about the animals in the Arthropoda phylum, commonly referred to as insects and crustaceans. We were lucky enough to obtain some woody cockroaches, crickets and mealworms for the students to observe. This was met with mixed emotions!
Did you know…
There are about five million arthropod species alive on earth today (give or take a few million)?
