Book Week at Carmel School is going to be bigger than ever in 2020.

We are celebrating all things literature in the Primary School in Week 2 of Term 4 with a week filled with books, fun activities, competitions and dress-ups. Some highlights to diarise are:

  • Tuesday October 20: Students from Kindergarten to Year 3 will enjoy a performance from Performance Education and those in Years 4-6 will take part in a presentation by local author Norman Jorgensen
  • Wednesday October 21: Students will preview the Beaufort Street Books book sale.
  • Friday October 23: Come to school dressed as a book character and join in our Book Week parade! Then from 2.30 – 4.00pm purchase quality books from Beaufort Street Books at our pop-up book shop at the Primary School gates. With every purchase you’ll go in the prizewinning draw.  Purchase a book for the School to win a prize.

All week there will be competitions, daily quizzes, shared reading, in-class activities and lunchtime story reading for all students.

Don’t forget to get your Book Week poster looking fabulous and handed to Mrs Creasy by 26 September to go in the draw for fabulous prizes!
