Carmel Business Breakfast 2022 with Dianne Smith-Gander AO
Carmel School is pleased to welcome Diane-Smith AO to be the Keynote Speaker at our 2022 Carmel Business Breakfast, which will run from 7.00am – 9.00am on Tuesday 8 November.
Diane Smith-Gander AO is a professional company director with an accomplished business career, 40 years in the making, spanning many industries and countries, with experience at some of Australia’s largest corporations.
A very proud Western Australian, Diane has been resident here since 2008 after a 24-year absence. Diane left WA to pursue her corporate career, consulting in Australia and Hong Kong, working at Westpac twice, finishing up in the C-suite, and was a partner at McKinsey & Company in the USA.
Diane’s current leadership roles are diverse. She chairs ZipCo, a fintech disrupter, DDH1 a minerals driller and is chair elect of HBF Health, a private health insurer. She is also part of the energy transition as a non-executive director at AGL Energy. A keen advocate for gender equity, Diane is a past President of Chief Executive Women, Australia’s pre-eminent women’s advocacy group.
Diane is a graduate of Melville Senior High School believing she received an excellent secondary education. She obtained a BEc at UWA, and her MBA from the University of Sydney and in 2015 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from UWA, where she is now the Chair of the Business School Advisory board. She’s been passionate about the importance of education, particularly for girls, ever since. She also served on the Council at MLC here in Perth.
Growing in attendance over the past few years, the Carmel Business Breakfast is now a highly anticipated business event in our community. We are expecting a strong response to the invitations for this event and will be reaching out to leaders in the Western Australian Consulting, Accounting and Finance, Law, and Banking sectors, as well as Members of Parliament and Opposition.
Attendance at our Business Breakfast event has grown each year, from 110 guests in 2018 to over 200 in 2021. We anticipate welcoming approximately 300 guests to our 2022 event. To book your place at this exciting event, click here.
