It has been a busy winter term on the sports field with interschool matches played against St Andrews, Loreto and John XXIII leading up to the main event, the IPSHA Winter Carnival, on Thursday 17 June where our Carmel Primary students competed against teams from 14 other schools, hosted by John XXIII College. Carmel netball, footie and soccer teams each played six games. Our netballers improved greatly over the tournament and had some handsome wins at the back end of the day. It was a tough gig for the footie team who battled against stiff opposition, but they had close games and wins with All Saints, St Andrews and Tranby. The two soccer teams dropped only one game out of 12 - an awesome result and a credit to them and their teamwork! 

Thanks to Mr Carter and to Mrs Oldershaw, Mrs Wiklund, Mrs Freedman and Mrs Berg, who accompanied and coached the teams at the carnival.
